3. Working principle

(1) Due to the revolution of the double helix, the powder particles move around along the cone wall.

(2) Due to the self-propagation of the spiral blade, the powder is discharged to the center of the cone for radial movement.

(3) The powder flows upward from the bottom of the cone and is discharged onto the outer surface of the spiral to mix the materials.

(4) The downward flow of the powder particles caused by the spiral rotation is precisely due to the combination of the revolution and rotation of the spiral in the mixer, forming four flow forms of the powder: the compound movement of convection, shear, diffusion, and infiltration . Therefore, the powder can be quickly mixed evenly in the mixer. [2] 

Horizontal ribbon mixer

The horizontal twin-shaft spiral belt mixer is used to stir dry and powdery materials to achieve the purpose of even mixing. During the mixing process, the materials in the machine are moved by two rotors moving in opposite directions to perform a compound movement. The two-axis paddle belt animal material rotates clockwise and counterclockwise along the inner wall of the tank, and the material near the axis rotates axially. Pushed from the inside to both sides, the outer spiral drives the material close to the wall of the cylinder to rotate the axis, and the axis is pushed from both sides to the inside, which causes convection circulation, shear mixing in the material cylinder, and completes the material quickly and evenly in a short time mixing.
